Congratulations on your pregnancy, does it feel real yet?
Pregnancy and birth can feel downright scary. It's this wild, unpredictable journey into the unknown, right? But it doesn't need to be this way. Hypnobirthing is not about hypnotising you during labour, it's about giving you the tools to own your birth experience, fears and all. My course also arms partners with knowledge about birth, gives them a clear role, tools and skills so they can fully support you during labour.
Ever wondered how your uterus works? Or what role your hormones play during pregnancy and birth? My course will give you the lowdown on how physiological birth works and how you can work with your body to manage pain, anxiety and different scenarios you might face, such as induction or caesarean.
The main goal of hypnobirthing is to support birthers, and their birth partners to have a positive birth experience, wherever they choose to have their baby (hypnobirthing is for hospital births too). My full antenatal and hypnobirthing course will provide you with the information, tools, and skills you need to feel positive about birth as well as a community of other new local parents who can support you through this journey.
Whether your experience is a positive or negative one can depend on how much you prepare. Do you know what your rights are? Do you know the risks and benefits of a vaginal exam? What about risks associated with induction? There are many unknowns during pregnancy, and you should get informed as soon as possible.
Your experience of pregnancy and childbirth matters. And in my course, we'll go over what your rights are, how to advocate for them, and how to get all the information you need to make decisions right for you.
Worried you won't be able to manage the pain? You don't have to feel like this. Hypnobirthing provides you with the tools and skills to get rid of the worries and fears you have. Think birth plans, affirmations, and group support. Breathing exercises have long been part of antenatal education. Hypnobirthing takes this and adds relaxation, visualisation and mindfulness techniques to help you concentrate on your body and the birth of your baby.
The big day has arrived! By this point in the course, you will have worked on your birth plan, and through tools and techniques to ensure you're as informed and confident as you can be. You will learn about what to expect during labour, how to deal with the three stages of labour, and what to expect in the fourth trimester.
